Lively whites and sleeping reds

So, life has been pretty exciting at Awatere in June.
Our tanks were chocka after a record 2022 harvest in our ever-bustling winery. So, we have been busy racking the wines off the heavy lees and putting the blends together. The wines are looking excellent; we're working hard to have the first of the Awatere River 2022 Sauvignon Blanc ready for the first bottling in July.
The Pinot Noir tanks were mostly pressed off in April & May, some after extended post-fermentation maceration on skins. These reds have now been tucked up in barrels, where they will mature until next year.
