Awatere River creates a range of premium-quality wines from our small appellation in the world-famous wine-growing region of the Awatere Valley of Marlborough, New Zealand.

Standing proud at the head of Marlborough's Awatere Valley, Mount Tapuae-o-uenuku feeds crisp, pure water into the Awatere River as it winds through some of New Zealand's finest wine country. The river is the lifeblood of the valley, and we named our premium wine range in its honour - a reflection of the minerality and alluvial finesse it brings to our wines.

Awatere River is a collection of award-winning, low-yield, premium-quality wines that reflect the distinctive terroir of the alluvial river flats on which they were grown. A worthy partner for fine food at any occasion.

Focusing on length, structure and complexity, Awatere River produces exceptional Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Méthode Traditionelle sparkling wine and a Late Harvest Gewürztraminer.
